very good job on the audio editing. its amazing how many videos on youtube fail to have the audio faded out or lowered to a decent level so we can hear narration or other things in the video. also im now hungry for some of that festival food =P

I wasn't hungry this night, but I got some good food-on-a-stick the next day when I returned to the shrine during the day.Nope - nothing taboo about walking around with your GF - plenty of couples were walking around this night. Of course, if you're a teacher and your students see you with a female - any female - they will pester you with questions about her for weeks afterward. :)

I would really want a girlfriend to walk around with and share that experience of new years eve, but I expect it is taboo maybe in a small city? I think the arrows are called hamaya. They are basically supposed to kill bad-luck demons if you put them outside your house.
